About this compound

Mechanism and research context.

KPV is a tripeptide derived from the C-terminal fragment of alpha-Melanocyte-Stimulating Hormone (α-MSH). Composed of the amino acids lysine-proline-valine, it preserves much of α-MSH's anti-inflammatory signalling activity while lacking the parent hormone's effects on pigmentation.

The peptide has been investigated in research models for its anti-inflammatory activity, with proposed mechanisms including modulation of the NF-κB signalling pathway and inhibition of pro-inflammatory cytokine production. Animal research has examined its effects on inflammatory bowel disease models, atopic dermatitis, and other inflammation-driven conditions in preclinical settings.

KPV's tripeptide structure is metabolically stable, and has prompted interest in research applications targeting localized inflammation without broad systemic immune suppression.

How this batch was verified

Verified in Canada before listing.

01

Vetted manufacturing source.

Compounds sourced only from manufacturers who have been through extensive evaluation and vetting in our sourcing and procurement program.

02

Canadian lab verification — before shipping.

Every batch is independently tested at a Canadian laboratory before it lists. Verified in-country with full chain of custody — not sent overseas. The report we publish is from an independent Canadian lab, not the manufacturer or a third party lab outside of Canada.

Reconstitution guidance

Four steps. Standard across compounds.

01

Draw bacteriostatic water.

Use a reconstitution syringe to draw BAC water (bacteriostatic water, 0.9% benzyl alcohol).

02

Add slowly to the lyophilized vial.

Inject the water against the inside of the vial wall — do not shake.

03

Swirl until fully dissolved.

Gentle agitation only. The lyophilized cake should fully dissolve within a minute.

04

Refrigerate.

Reconstituted solution is typically stable for 28 days refrigerated.
